Online social networking has become an integral part of our lives, and more so for the social networking needs of adolescents and the younger lot.
What social networking also has become is an integral reason of problems in the same impressionable age groups. A study, presented by Dr. Larry Rosen at the American Psychological Association convention, recently presented was that excessive usage of the social networking sites may be making the teens of today sick, quite literally.
Social networking, as per the study, causes narcissistic tendencies, psychological disorders, mania, excessive aggression etc. But social networking sites are not all bad, they do have positives like, "Social networking can provide tools for teaching in compelling ways that engage young students."
