31% Use False Information
A poll done in the U.K. found that around 31% of people who use social networking sites in the U.K. enter false information about themselves into their profile. This is because twice as many social networkers in the U.K. are afraid of having their identities stolen online.

Other interesting data in this toll showed that 81% of citizens in the U.K. use social networking sites and nearly half of this group admits using them at work. MySpace is not the top social networking site in the U.K., according to this poll they are third with only 39% of users using MySpace in the U.K.

There's a lot more stats where they came from. See what the rest of the poll showed.
