Virtual Worlds/Gaming
by Linda Roeder on January 14, 2008
Second Life has it's own money system. In order to buy things in the virtual world of Second Life you're going to need some money. The money in Second Life is called Linden Dollars and the amount is proceeded with a L$ sign. In order to buy things in Second Life you're going to need some Linden Dollars.

Linden Dollars can be bought and are converted from real dollars. The exchange rate is really good, I bought $5.00 worth of Linden Dollars and that bought me L$1245. With that amount of money you can do quite a bit in Second Life.
There are fees involved in buying and selling Linden Dollars, but it's not too bad.
Now that I have some Linden Dollars in my Second Life account, I'm going to go have some fun.

It's kind of like webkinz for adults... or nintendo dogs for adults... sounds like fun!
