Colleges on MySpace
Some colleges have decided that a good place to recruit students would be social networking sites. SFGate.com says that colleges like San Francisco University are putting up profiles on MySpace and other social networking sites in hopes that kids will see what's on the profile and decide that their college would be the place for them and sign up.

The college's profile page is also a common ground for students of the college to come together and network with other students of that college or other people who are thinking of enrolling.

The colleges think this is a good idea because this is where the kids are. Lots of teens spend some of their time everyday communicating with other teens online through email, IM and social networking sites.
