If you're not sure what you want to create a site about try browsing some of the sites other people have created. Some of them are a lot of fun like Girl on Girl and some are really cute like Cute Overload.

Make your site open or closed to the public and only use the features you want to use. You can have forums, blogs, videos, a member database and more.

What do you want to create your own social networking site about? For me maybe autism since I have one son with PDD and another with Asperger's. Or maybe junior cycling since my oldest son is an aspiring bike racer.
