Tech Crunch pointed out today that this is the fifth birthday of social bookmarking site Delicious.
Based in Santa Clara, California, Delicious was founded by Joshua Schachter in 2003. Yahoo! bought it in 2005. Today it has more than five million users - me included. From my perspective, Delicious is a simple way to move links that are important to me from that stationary spot in the favorites on the PC in my study to a more accessible spot, in the Cloud.
Delicious also gives me a way to see what links are important to other people. And that can be, well, important...
