Do It Yourself
There are all kinds of social networking sites starting up. There are social networking sites for all kinds of things. What do you do if there's not one for you?

Say you want to join a social networking site for something that means a lot to you. You search and search but to no avail. There just doesn't seem to be a social networking site for you. What do you do?

Start your own. Starting your own social networking site has never been easier. With sites like Ning, GoingOn and AIMPages you can make your own social networking site for any topic you want.

Why would you want to create your own social networking site? Consider this. You can create relationships with other people with the same interests and passion you have. You could learn more about the topic you started your social networking site about. You can help other people who need a social networking site just like yours.

The downside is that you would be in charge. It's your site after all. That means you need to be there, answer questions and participate. This can become a drain on your time. Weigh the pros and cons carefully before considering starting your own social networking site.
