Facebook, Privacy, Search Engines, and the Future

Once again, Facebook is changing its privacy policy. I suppose I should be used to that. It's happened a few times now. And (call me a cynic) I decided some time ago not to rely on Facebook keeping any of my information private.
Louis Gray does a good job of describing the situation Facebook faces. On the one hand, Facebook has all these users who trust it (kind of) with lots of personal information. On the other hand, there are a horde of monetary incentives pressuring Facebook to share user information. Sharing user information with search engines would bring Facebook more traffic (and we all know that traffic means monetization).
TechCrunch takes a close look at the actual changes to Facebook's privacy policy.
