Fill In Your Profile
If you really want to make friends on your social networking site then you need to tell them a little about yourself. Fill out your profile. When your profile asks what your favorite books are, write about your favorite books, or at least make a list.
When people come to your site looking for friends they are reading your profile. They want to make friends with people that have things in common with them. They want to read interesting profiles about people they may want to be friends with. If your profile is blank they will just skip you right over.
They want to know what your friendship will give them and if you don't give them anything to work with they are not going to take the time to get to know you. You aren't going to make any friends that way.
