Free Classmates.com Features
Filed in archive Soc Network Sites by Linda Roeder on June 23, 2008
Classmates.com is known as one of the only remaining social networking sites that you have to pay for to be able to communicate with other members. They do offer some free features though.

For instance, you can create a Classmates.com profile for free. Anyone can view your profile for free, and you can view theirs. Don't try to enter any contact information in your profile though, or your profile though. If they detect a website address or an email address, your profile won't be posted.

You can now also send your friends a bulletin for free. They won't be able to read it for free though. The message can only be read by someone who is a gold member. You can also receive email messages from friends for free. You can't send them though unless you're a gold member.

You can add them to your friends list for free. This is helpful when you want to read about news and things going on in their life. Basically, you can look through and read about your friends on their profiles for free, but you can't send or receive messages from them unless one of you are gold members.

It's a shame too. I have messages on there from a year ago from people I want to talk to, but I can't.
