Friendster Shops For a Buyer
As you know, earlier this year Friendster had been shopping around for a new owner, but apparently, as ownership hasn't changed, the buyer wasn't found. However, CNet just informed the blogosphere that Friendster has actually hired a company to sell itself.
That's pretty big news. Wonder if all their angel money is beginning to run out?
Don't get me wrong, Friendster is the innovator who really made social networking stick, but maybe their marketing or policies just aren't working (ie the last group mailing that went out to a bunch of old users and seemed to look like it was from a friend but was really, essentially, spam).
