Is there a gap between the college age social networking sites and the adult ones? Brian Balfour at Social Degree seems to think so. He says Facebook is geared toward college students and Linked In toward career minded people. What's there for the group in between?
Sure there's the MySpace type sites but they're not specific to anyone. Maybe 20 something's need a social networking site of their own. While we're on the subject what about 30 or 40 somethings without business degrees? Doesn't everyone deserve a specialized site like Facebook?
The funny thing about age specific social networking sites is that you would outgrow them and then have to move on to the next one. When you're 29 you'd have to start wondering if you should stay with the people you've made friends with over the years or move on to the 30 something site.
