Soon you'll be able to Jaiku right from your Google homepage, at least that's what I'm hoping now that Jaiku has been bought by Internet leader Google. Mike Butcher from Tech Crunch thinks this is a "fascinating move by Google" because not too long ago Google was looking into buying Jaiku's competitor, Twitter.
For those of you who don't know what Jaiku is, let me refresh your memory. Jaiku like Twitter and Pownce, is a social networking site that lets you add bits of your life at a time to create a stream of virtual consciousness on your site.
For instance you could jaiku something like this, "going to the store now". Later you could jaiku, "back from the store bought more than I wanted to, again".
Jaiku can also be used on a mobile phone, so you could jaiku from the store too. The thing that sets Jaiku apart from the others, is the ability to post your location with every entry. This is a really cool feature and helps friends know where to find their friends.
