Google's Orkut Activates Auto Hyperlinks?
Filed in archive by Creative Weblogging on July 20, 2006
After previously disabling hyperlinked text in both Orkut and Joga.com, it seems as if the Google team is allowing web links to be hyperlinked without the link tags (these ones: [link][/link]) on each side.
Although this may not seem like a major issue, enabling this feature automatically linked will make Orkut less annoying when sharing a webpage to a friend online. Despite this recent change however, Orkut still lists those tags as necessary to make a web page link appear.
Ironically minor changes like these do not make the front news page, despite the fact that they affect millions posting within Google's forums. Perhaps Google should take some spare time and inform the masses that there is an easier way to post links within the forums.
