Google's Orkut Fighting Scrap Spam With Word Verification
Filed in archive by Creative Weblogging on August 02, 2006
Orkut has in the past weeks been hit with a virus attack that has crippled some users PC's. Although Google has been fighting this by suppressing the link, users are still being annoyed with useless scraps advertising everything from porn
to internet scams. This seems to have cut down on much of the spam (especially in my scrapbook) and will hopefully restore the scrapbook for what it was originally intended for--a tool to communicate with those you care about (as well as those you don't).
