Google's Own Web App Tool
Open Social by Google is helping people create Web applications that can be used on virtually any social networking site. Other sites are helping Google develop this tool. According to Michael Arrington on TechCrunch Flixster, iLike, RockYou and Slide are helping in the development of Open Social.

Sites such as Orkut, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Ning, Hi5, Plaxo, Friendster, Viadeo and Oracle are using it, Michael also says. Soon you'll be seeing Web apps created by Open Social all over the social networking world. Even Linked In is getting into the game.

Creating Web apps with Open Social is easy too. You can create your own Web apps using HTML and JavaScript, no need to learn a whole other markup language. Maybe you can even do it?

In the near future watch for Google's very own social networking site. Dubbed Maka Maka, rumor has, it's coming soon.
