We all know Twitter has grown over the past year. How much? Adam Ostrow over at Mashable took at good hard look at their growth rate...

There's little doubt that Twitter was one of the most talked about startups over the past year. But just how much did it grow in 2008? The final numbers are in, and according to Compete, they're astounding: 752%, for a total of 4.43 million unique visitors in December.It will be interesting to see how Twitter changes in the year to come as the people over there try to monetize it. After all, what good are four million users if you can't make any money off of them... right?
