stefanie Sigurdson of the blog Ch.aoti.ca brings up a good point. What would aliens or futuristic people think of us if they came across our Internet? It's a chilling thought to say the least. I don't think they would fully get what we're like and what life is all about for us.

They would think us shallow, flashy and insecure if all they looked at was our social networking sites. They would be glad such a race is gone because we whine too much and want too much.

I do disagree with her on one point. She writes, "isn't a person defined by their character and their actions... not by the brands and songs they love?" ~Ch.aoti.ca (apr 28)

I say that you can tell a lot about a person by the kind of music they listen to and the kinds of things they buy. An alien may not be able to tell the difference, but we certainly can.
