Marc Canter has some excellent advice for Pageflakes, Multiply or anyone building a service which lets users store data and socialize. He says:
Take a look at Multiply. They're doing it right. In some ways. They enable you to easily import your blog posts, photos or contact lists from all over the web.

But no where in Multiply can I find a similar way to EXPORT this data.

They don't appear to have Open APIs, they export via .CSV - which is coolio, but not enough.

I agree with Marc on this one. It's time for social networking sites to open this data up via APIs.

The screen for importing from multiple contact management tools/social networking sites is a very cool start - for Multiply - which seems to be enjoying some steady growth.
