Increase Your Site’s Traffic: Blog More

Content is key. The more pages you have the more chances you have of getting people to come read them. Write about different subjects and try to use keywords in your writing. Find a topic you want to write about, pick a phrase for that topic and write about it.
More blog posts means more repeat visitors. If you only write once a week people will only come to your site once a week, or they may get board and forget to keep coming. If you write something every day they will come every day just to see what you are writing.
If you only have five pages on your site people probably will hit the back button and never return. If you have hundreds of pages when they find your site they may spend some time reading through them and then bookmark your site so they can come back later and read more.
Most social networking sites have blogs. Make good use of them to bring in the visitors.

There are many advantages of your web blog above a website, except it’s easy to setup and free. You can put every thing in your blog: from a couple of lines what it is on your mind or your new article just published elsewhere, or a product review. In principle, a blog is the same as a website, but you will need to update more frequently to get the visitors to your site. A major advantage of your web blog here above a website to getting major search engines like Google and Yahoo to visit your blog frequently is a technique called “pinging”. It’s a method of notifying all of the major search engines and blog directories, each time that you have updated your blog. The search engines will come and to take a look at your blog, thereby increasing traffic to your blog. If you link your blog, the search engines will follow the links from the blog pointing to your sites. This will help the search engine rankings of your sites as well!

I couldn’t agree more. Content is, indeed, key to drive people to visit your site and actually take time to read it. I know some amazing ways to drive traffic to my own website and they work wonders! I had fun reading this post. Thanks!
