Instant Personalization: Facebook Shares Your Info with Yelp, Pandora, Docs.com
Half the world is ticked at Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg at the moment. Facebook has recently reached a deal with some third party websites to automatically share your Facebook user info when you visit those sites.
The sites are Yelp.com, Pandora, and Microsoft's Docs.com. Facebook says that all the information it's sharing is already publicly available. And if you can find the right spot in your privacy settings, you can opt out of the arrangement.
That's not good enough for US Sen. Charles Schumer (D-New York). He wants Facebook to make such info sharing an "opt-in" process. And he thinks that Facebook has taken enough liberty with private US info that maybe the government should begin regulating the privacy concerns involved…
There's a lot on the government's plate at the moment: an energy bill, immigration reform, financial reform. It's not clear that regulating online privacy will make it to the front burner any time soon. But, like I said, half the world is ticked (and the other half is too busy updating its Facebook status to care).
The story is being followed on Mashable, TechCrunch, CNN, Louis Gray,
Schbleizer, and Venture Beat.

Since Facebook came into the online world there were a lot of people who trusted the site and became addicted to the site. One concern that people were worried about is the privacy of personal information in Facebook. There were a lot of news, reports and complains that Facebook cannot commit in keeping their users personal information private. But until now it is a 50 – 50 fact and this article can prove some parts that the fact could be true.
Thanks for Sharing!
