Is Email Based Social Networking the Future?
It looks like Yahoo! is up to something more than just redesigning their social networking platforms. They may be trying to find a way to integrate social networking right into your email.

When someone sends you an email, you'll be able to click on their name, or their picture, and go to their profile to find out more about them. It may even be able to determine what kind of relationship you have with each of the people you send and receive email from. You'll be able to sort your contacts by relationship instead of alphabet.

"What's the first thing that happens when you sign up for Facebook? The service scans your email address book to find friends who are already members." ~Brad Linder, Download Squad

Now Yahoo!, and possibly even Google, are finding ways to use the information in your inbox to make social networking even more social.
