Is Meeting Your Mate Online Juvenile?

"The resulting social dynamic comes off as artificial and juvenile – which is why the words "we met on the Internet" continue to carry a vaguely embarrassing stigma to this day." ~National Post, Canada.com

I always thought that meeting your mate online was similar to having met your mate through an old fashioned dating service, which I did by the way. Before the Internet was popular, 12 years ago, my husband and I met through a local dating service. A few years later the local dating services went out of business and online dating started becoming popular.

I just thought this was the next level of dating service. I never thought ill of it. I'd like to know what you think of online dating? Do you consider it childish or foolish to meet your mate online?

I think online relationships are becoming more scially acceptable. People are even using texting and mobile communities to meet people now.

that’s true. As we are all busy these days, to find someone online is easier but with the same fun! I just joined http://www.casualpal.com, yea, I just want to find some casual fun as I have no enough time to stay with someone…that’s great!
