Keep It Real When Selling
Companies are starting to use social networking and blogs as a way to sell and promote their products. Some are simply sending their marketing people online to participate in blogs and social networking sites as consumers that are telling about how great this product is. They go into a blog and write about this item they bought and how much they love it.

This is the wrong way. Why? Because they are often discovered to be frauds. People online are good at researching who people are and what their background it. They find out that this person is not really who he says he is. This is bad because then they are ousted as spammers and this is bad business for their company.

The better way to market their item on a blogging or social networking site would be to create their own blog and tell who they are and what they want from their readers. Ask for opinions from the people who come to the site and give them information about what's happening with the product. They can get some good information from people this way. Now they can tell people about their new products and ideas in an open forum.
