Learn a New Language Fast

I've always found learning a new language to be the most challenging thing I've even done, besides raising my boys. In school I always managed good grades in everything, except Spanish. It wasn't for lack of trying or not wanting to either. I wanted to learn Spanish bad and studied every chance I got. Then I failed Spanish 2 and had to retake the class.

Learn a New Language Fast

Learning a language with the tutorials on Live Mocha though, I found to be very easy. In about 5 minutes I learned 40 words. For each section they first show you pictures and you listen to the words. Then there are three practice tests. For the first test you read the words and match them with the pictures. In the second test you listen to the words and match them with the pictures. In the final test for each section, you listen to the word or phrase and see the picture, then you choose the right word or words to go with it.

As I'm doing the lessons, IM requests were popping up. One of the other great features of LiveMocha is that you can live chat with other members. Speaking a language is the best way to learn a language. Chatting with native speakers of the language you want to learn just may help you learn the language faster.

LiveMocha language tutorials are free. They currently offer online classes in English, French, Spanish, German, hindi and Mandarin Chinese.

I think this tool sounds good, but would combine it with a strategy for learning vocabulary fast. Like mnemonics. Little used, but very effective. Look into it.
