More on Skobee

Skobee also presented at the Under the Radar Conference during the When 2.0 panel. I previously wrote about them here. Here's what the Under the Radar blog has to say:
Skobee isn't another web calendar, it is about event planning and getting together with your friends and family. It has a simple interface and is very easy to navigate and use. Integrated with Gmail, outlook etc, you just send an e-mail and it shows up in your calendar. It just needs some event tags for time and place – excellent use of NLP. Panelists felt that users ability to see changes to plans easily is very powerful. They felt that business model shouldn't be a concern because of near to zero burn rate so developing product and getting users should be first priority. Skobee is definitely a good acquisition target. Skobee plans to add RSS subscribing very soon but grid calendar view is not a priority.
It certainly sounds like a nice feature. And if it truly inserts an event in someone's calendar using email, we'll be figuring this one out soon. But is a simple email-to-calendar integration nice enough to gain mindshare and user-share from evite?
