SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE - July 23 - MyYearbook: Not many teenagers raise $4.1 million. 17-year-old Catherine Cook started myyearbook with her brother two years ago. MyYearbook connects teenagers, a $195 billion market, according to Harrison Group/VNU Teen Trend Report. Users sign friends' virtual yearbook pages and pass class notes in "lockers." Their first investor was eldest brother and CEO Geoff Cook who invested $250,000. More than 3.3 million people, the majority 13- to 22-year-olds, used the site in June, according to comScore Media Metrix.
