Pay Per Action by Google
It's finally come. Google has launched it's pay per action affiliate program. Now people can advertise a different way if they want to. Until now Google only had the pay per click option for their affiliate program. This means that every time someone clicked on the advertisement on your Web site you got paid. Now companies will be about to make sure you only get paid if someone actually does something besides click, like buys something.

This might be good for the companies that are doing the advertising but it's not good for those of us who make money from those ads. I've tried other pay per action affiliate programs like Commission Junction and LinkShare, I had a really hard time making money from them. I don't want a pay per action link on my sites.

What's going to happen to my precious pay per click advertising now that companies have this other option? Who knows. Companies may stop paying to advertise in a pay per click environment now that they can still stay with Google and do it. If it all goes downhill, remember, Google's not the only pay per click out there.
