Personal Information, Personal Threat
"He cited details such as date of birth, e-mail, job and marital status as the kind of data frequently posted online by unwary users." ~ZDNet Asia (July 24)

I know that even I put information about my job and marital status out there on the Web. Hundreds of people know what i do for a living and can click through to my personal Web site. Is this really a threat to my personal security? It's not like I'm posting my social security number online, or my phone number, or even my address.

Neil Munroe, external affairs director for equifax seems to think that this sort of information, that most of think to be benign, is going to cause us a lot of problems if posted on the Net.

What do you think about posting information about yourself on your site and the threat to your personal security?
