Ping and Clear Internet for Your Updates

What's the point of being on two dozen social networking sites if you can't post status updates while you're out on the road?

I discovered Ping.fm about a year ago now. Ping is a service that allows you to send a single update to about forty different social networking sites and blog platforms – all with a single click. Facebook, Twitter and MySpace are part of it, of course. But so are Friendster and Flicker, LinkedIn and Ning, Bibo, Digo, Plurk, Vox, Jaiku, and a bunch more. Write your update and click the Ping it! button and shows up on the all for you. Which saves a lot of time and makes being on 23 social networks a viable option.

Of course, if you don't have a connection, you can't post to anything – even with a service like Ping. My phone doesn't always do so great. But I always have my little Netbook with me anyway (Windows 7 – I love it) and subscribed recently to Clear Internet not long ago. So now getting a connection is much easier.
