Business Social Networking
by Linda Roeder on March 27, 2007

The new stats show that visits to social networking sites rose 11.5% from January to February. Traffic to MySpace alone rose 10.2% and Facebook rose 9.1%, Wow!
If you're wondering who the big hitters are they come in with MySpace getting 80% of the market and Facebook at 10%.
I see MySpace climbing for a little while longer, maybe the rest of the year, but by this time next year I think they will level off and may even start to see a drop. While at the same time I see topic specific sites growing and maybe even catching up to MySpace in the next couple years.
What do you think?

Yep, that's how I see it too. I'd rather belong to a smaller site that is specific to what I need, but at the same time I have a better chance of finding old friends on sites like MySpace because they are so much bigger.
