Risque Online Video Sharing Website Gets Funded
Metacafe just got $15M. "Curiousity" got the best of me when I read that this video sharing site hosted a lot of "sex scenes" from popular movies. The most risque thing I could find was a Victoria Secret commercial. Did they clean up their act after they got their funding and the blogosphere lambasted them for hosting risque video? Who knows? If so, hosting risque videos probably wasn't a bad strategy to get traffic numbers up to get a VC to invest. With $15M, they should be able to buy some traffic or strike some strategic deals in this very crowded space.
