Safe Internet for Kids and Teens
In the time I've been doing this blog I've written several entries on how to keep kids and teens safe on the Internet. I believe this is an achievable goal as long as a few easy steps are taken ahead of time and parents keep the lines of communication open with their kids.

Here are a few to get you thinking:

  • What Are Your Kids Reading? - "..They can just go to MySpace or another social networking site, and read posts about with curse words, bizarre and destructive photos, stories about how someone hurt someone else and even blog posts about sexual situations...."

  • Is The Internet More Dangerous? - "Are your kids in more danger on MySpace then they are at the public park or walking home from school? Let me use some comparisons...."

  • Kids Are Being Too Personal - "..These kids, being kids and very naive, posted their whole names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses on their MySpace accounts...."
