If you're a regular reader of the www.web2weblog.com then you already know what Weblin is. If you're not, let me give you a short update. Weblin is a way of making friends with and chatting with people who like the same websites that you like.

When you go to a site, like Google for instance, you'll see little avatars at the bottom of the screen. Those avatars all represent a person that you can chat with.

What you may not know is that you can send virtual gifts to your Weblin friends. Weblin has a large selection of virtual gifts to choose from. There are flowers, coins, cookies, hearts, kisses, even food and drinks. The presents you give on Weblin are little pics similar to the presents you can give to your Facebook friends.



How Do I Send a Virtual Gift with Weblin?

First thing you need to do is right click on the avatar of the person who you want to send a gift to. Then click on the "Send gift" link in the pop up menu.

Now choose a virtual gift. There are several different categories to choose from including; personal, appreciative, playful, technical, craftsmanship, health, albums and special. Different presents cost a different amount of points. For instance, cookies cost 30 points while a big kiss costs 300 points.

Choose the gift you want to send and then click on the "Next" button. On the next page click on "Confirm purchase" and you're finished. You've just sent someone a virtual gift. You don't even need to wrap your present, it'll be sent to your friend right away.
