Social Networking Puts You At Risk
Webuser -- Mar 13 -- "Webroot claims that it is the use of social networking sites which puts us most at risk... Many in the 18-24 age category said they were willing to open attachments and embedded links found on social networking sites even if they didn't know who had created them..."

Social networking sites may be causing your computer harm according to this article. They claim that a lot of spam, phishing, spyware and virus' are caused by browsing social networking sites.

One thing you must remember when browsing the Internet is not to open files on any site unless you trust the site or the person who put it there. These can harbor unwanted visitors that will infect your computer.

Always use an antivirus program when browsing the Internet too. antivirus software is a must when you check your email. Virus' are sneaky and can pop out of anywhere. Links are usually safe but if you are going to open them on a strange site or a social networking profile of someone you don't know then you should have your antivirus software up and running for that too.
