Teens Expose Themselves Online
The Sydney Morning Herald -- Mar 13 -- "paradelinks the intimacies of their lives for everyone except those who, on a day-to-day basis at least, live closest to them and have known them longest"...

"they're doing exactly what we did at their age, even if we did it through physical space..."

I love those quotes, written by Anne Karpf. It's so true that kids these days are doing the same things their parents did when they were that age (not a big relief to some of us). They are just doing their thing in a different way, and maybe it's a little more public.

Instead of writing in their diaries and giggling with their friends they are writing everything in their public blog for the whole world to see. Instead of bringing their photos to school to show to their friends they are posting them on their Web sites. Instead of "hanging out" at the local store after school they're "hanging out" online with their friends.

It's not really too much different it's just done in a different way.
