The Cure to Anti-Social Social Networking
Filed in archive Soc Network Sites by Linda Roeder on October 16, 2007
College Tonight tells its users to unplug and meet face to face. There's even a section on the site that helps you create "hook ups" so you can actually meet the people you're chatting with face to face with other's from your college. You can also gather your friends into an "entourage" so you, and they, can get together as a group.

The Cure to Anti-Social Social Networking

There is a social calendar on College Tonight that you can use to post what you're doing. Maybe one of your friends will read your social calendar and decide to join you. Another unique feature on College tonight is something they call "drunk dials". This is a message you can leave for someone, and then take it back in the morning.

College Tonight is set up for use by college students only. You have to have a .edu email address in order to sign up. It's very safe and secure to use. Former FBI personnel are monitoring it to make sure it stays that way.
