I couldn't agree more. I know there are a lot of teens on MySpace and they seem to be taking over the Web lately, but it's not just the teens, believe me.
A big part of anything on the Web are the older crowd. The parents, the sci-fi crowd, the TV and movie fans. Most of them are 20 something, 30 something, 40 something and older.
When I first started on the Net, a long time ago, there were parenting sites galore. There still are but they're not as personal anymore. The social networking was there but it was different. Forums, chat boards and IM type programs where the thing and we could communicate with each other constantly if we wanted to, all day sometimes. That was constant social networking.
Those people are still around and looking for new ways to communicate with each other. Forums are still popular but the constant communication of chat boards and IM have lost their popularity with them. Our lives have become to hectic to communicate all day long.
The new wave of social networking sites makes it easier for communication because we know where we all are. Everyone is getting a MySpace site and we can find each other whenever we need to.
