tourb.us goes live

tourb.us is a new cool little startup out of Boston that's making it easy for fans to keep track of when their favorite bands come to town. It is a mashup in that you can upload your favorite bands from your itunes or Last.fm account and they'll automatically suck in events from other sources. Which sources, I'l have to find out. They'll then send you an email or you can subscribe to an RSS feed or an ical feed. They auto create a public page for you, so that when you say you are going to a show, it adds it to your page too. Your favorite bands are on your public page too.

The app is quite elegant. If you want a Beta invite, just enter your email address into their form. You'll then get the code to go backstage and check it out. LAME pun, I know.

I can see this going big. Before today, I though that "event search" was niche. Now, event search for live music is certainly more niche. But, niche might serve to drive adoption. If they can build a comprehensive enough database of shows.
