We're proud to announce that tourb.us has just publicly launched what we believe is a better way to find live music. tourb.us enables you
to:

- Track your favorite bands (via email/RSS/iCalendar)
- Get reminders before concerts
- Find upcoming shows in your city
- Meet friends for shows
- Import favorites bands from iTunes and Last.fm
- Post reviews and photos of shows

Initially we're focusing on gathering the most complete list of shows for:

- Boston (http://boston.tourb.us)
- Seattle (http://seattle.tourb.us)
- Austin (http://austin.tourb.us)
- San Francisco (http://sf.tourb.us)

We'll be expanding to other cities soon, but we'll need your help.
Anyone can post a new
show, or improve on the information we have about bands, venues and shows.

What is interesting about Tourb.us is the way they are collecting show information. They are using a combination of indexing show listings on other sites and user submitted. From their FAQs:

Initially we're focusing on the music scenes in Boston, Seattle, Austin and the Bay Area, but will be expanding further soon. If you know of good lists of shows online in your area (like the website of a club or a scene), definitely let us know and we'll get it added post-haste! Unless it is for hippies. Oh ok, them too.

Any website that has a good list of shows can be added to our index. We don't require the information to be in any special format, but if there good RSS or iCal feeds we can add those too.

And anyone can add a show, which we most definitely encourage. We need your help to build a better way to find great music by bands of any size!
