Twitter for Beginners
Filed in archive Twitter by Greg Cruey on March 27, 2009
David Griner over at The Social Path published a good post earlier this month on how to get started with Twitter. It's a post that should get a fair amount of traffic. Your first few days on Twitter can be discouraging and puzzling.

Griner starts out with six items you should put on a "to do" list. Learn to use the reply button; figure out how you can tell when someone replies to one of your tweets. Give some real thought to your ID (and get a picture to replace the "0_o" thingie). The list goes on.

Griner also gives a few "don'ts" to remember. Don't spam people with sales pitches. Don't set up auto-DM (direct messages) because they go to email inboxes instead of the Twitter page and, well, people hate them.

You can read the full article here. It's worth the time.
