Virtual Pets
Neopets is a virtual world where you get to take care of a virtual pet. Raise your virtual pet, feed him, groom him and play with him. Even build him a house. You can have up to four neopets at a time. Trade your Neopets with your friends and even battle them in a battle dome.
Meet your friends in the forum and even send them Neomail. You can earn Neopoints by playing games, buying and selling things, playing the Neo Stock Market and other ways. Then you can buy things for your Neopets. Neopets and objects can be traded through NeoMail. Neopets can not be sold but they can be adopted or put up for adoption.

They get hungry if you don’t feed them but I don’t think they die. My son didn’t feed his for months and it was still alive. They do get sick occasionally but it’s not through your fault. There are medicines you can buy for them. Some are expensive though.
