MySpace

In the wake of the Lori Drew cyberbullying criminal conviction, MySpace is taking small steps toward more open identity disclosure, according to TechCrunch.
Michael Arrington over at TechCrunch sums it up this way:
While being anonymous on the web was great a few years ago, actual networking (you know, as in "social networking") requires that a user be able to link his Twitter, Friendster, Facebook and (maybe eventually) Paypal accounts together somehow.
Facebook has a huge advantage over MySpace at the moment on this...

Michael Arrington over at TechCrunch sums it up this way:
A constant criticism of MySpace is that real names are hidden when you view someone's profile or interact with them on the site. They're now making subtle product changes that encourage users to show their real name on the site. It's not all about security or morality. According to Arrington, MySpace is losing market share to Facebook at least in part because Facebook identifies its users by their real names.
