When Do You Find the Time?

Let's face it, social networking takes a lot of time. You need to read your friend's blog entries, read all to comments posted to you, find and accept new friends and see all their latest photos. At the same time you need to post your own blog entries, post comments on your friends sites and post your own photos, music and videos.

Say you have 10 friends on each social networking site and you belong to 3 different social networking sites. That's 30 friends you need to keep up with each day. That takes a lot of time.

I don't know about you, but I don't have that kind of time. Sure I try to keep up with the most important things going on in my friends lives, but only certain friends. I don't have time for all of them.

When and how do you find the time?

    You make it seem like its a hassle to be in a social network. I personally go on to keep in touch with who im interested in and who messages me. I know of a lot of people who simply go on these social networks to check on pictures and where ppl went on certain night. small things like that. A social network should be fun not an obligation.

    I use 8hands- the desktop social aggregator so I don’t feel like I’m on 3 networks cause I don’t have to log into all of them- 8hands keeps me posted about what’s going on.
    It definitely saves time.

    Have you heard of Obami. It functions like a social networking site but with personal admin tools. At least this way you can keep in touch with friends and sort your own life out too! And you can choose which friends see what! Hope that helps. Mula :)

    Agreed! The constant upkeep and energy spent on all these SN sites is ridiculous. THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH HOURS IN THE DAY!!! I use Obami. It offers personal admin tools that help me to save time while I still keep in touch with my friends!
