Who Will Be THE Mobile Social Network?

"I think it's only a matter of time before we see a mobile based social network hit critical Mass and really take-off." ~JJProjects (Sept 3)
I totally agree! The idea that you'll be able to keep in touch with all your friends instantly, even when you're not on your computer, is fascinating. I don't know if I want to keep up with my virtual friends constantly, but I can if I want to.
So, which mobile social networking site will it be? Twitter? Maybe, but I see them as more of a "read about my life" site then a serious contender for mobile social networking. I don't want to be bothered every second of the day with every little trivial thing that's going on in all the lives of all my friends. I just want to keep up with the important events.
It remains to be seen who the big wig will be. I can't wait to find out.

thats the wonderful idea. sonopia.com is very close to that.

I agree Twitter is more of a updte site which can tend to be repetitive. I like the mobile social networks like bebo or peekamo. Im currently a registered peekamo user and im liking it. I can see a bunch taking off.
I would prefer a site where I have access to more than one artist however exclusive the site may be. I am now currently registered with Mozes, and I get updates by most of the artists that are listed as users of the network like Teddy Geiger, Kate Voegele and Saosin. Instant updates include music downloads, latest album releases and tour dates. I like the fact that I have access to a variety of artists through Mozes. Here is the site if anyone would like to check it out, http://www.mozes.com.
