Why No One Follows You… (on Twitter)
Atherton Bartelby had an excellent examination this week of why you might not be collecting many followers on Twitter. His Mashable piece looks at ten reason why he doesn't return the favor and follow people who are following him…
Top of the list? You don't even have an avatar. After all, your avatar is what people see first. If all you are is a brown square with a little "o" and a big "O" separated by an underscore, you're probably not interesting enough to follow… o_O.
Bartelby gives some other practical reasons why he doesn't follow people on Twitter. For example, why should I bother following you if you've posted exactly three updates in the last nine months? There are ten reasons on his list. Read them here.
