What's the rejection factor of each. Dating sites are all about meeting people
to date, that's a lot of pressure if you're looking for more than just a date or a fling. That's what they're supposed to be though. A place to meet people, get together and possibly even fall in love.
On the other hand though, you can meet people on social networking sites too. People have been known to meet someone on MySpace and fall in love. The thing about doing it this way is that you can become friends first, get to know each other a little, and then decide if you want to ask for a date, no pressure.
Facebook even has a Flirt feature to help you do a little flirting from their site. This makes it a little more fun and a little less stressful.
