What is YourSpins?
YourSpins is a new kind of music community for fans who want to immerse themselves in world of remixes. On YourSpins, you can share your mixes of top songs with others, tag, rate and comment on other mixes - and chat, mail and IM other people too. Plus you can make your own unique ringtones to be sent to your phone. Each user gets their own homepage, with all their mixes and ringtones listed. Soon, we'll introduce blogs for each user, but for now, all mixes can be exported to your own blog or social network page by pressing 'Blog this mix' on the mixpage.

Who is your average user?
Convention suggests that they are young music fans - and indeed that describes the majority of our demographic, although we seem to have quite a few people who are outside of the 14-24 bracket. A lot depends on the artist involved - there would be very different audiences for a Pussycat Dolls track than there would be for, say, Linkin Park.

What value are you providing them?
In a sense the 'users' of the site can be divided into end-users - the younger, music-loving, online crowd - and the artists themselves.

The typical end user gets free access to a lot of interactive music, they have the ability to express themselves creatively through music and share their masterpieces with the outside world via their own blogs or homepages. They can also create their own ringtones from their own mixes. Additionally they get all the usual value of an online community in meeting new friends, chatting to other music fans and even the artists themselves.

Artists get exposure to a musically-knowledgeable community, and a new fan base. They also get revenue from ringtone sales - and since the ringtones are placed around the web (and other social networks) with the embedded remix players, this exposure and revenue can be sizeable.

How do you generate revenue?
Our revenue generation plans are based primarily on advertising and ringtone sales. Although we are also white-labelling our technology for other companies. The first example is a project we are doing with Visa and Robbie Williams, starting next month.
