Think you're safe when opening videos on Twitter, Facebook and MySpace, think again. Like you I often open videos from my friends and get a good laugh doing it, but this time it's no laughing matter. Opening one of these videos could cause your computer to get very ill.

It starts out innocent enough with a little message from your friend telling you how you have to see this video, and you click on it. That's when the trouble begins. You're then told you need an upgrade to your Adobe Flash Player and it starts installing. But you're not installing an Adobe Flash Player upgrade at all, you're installing a virus. Before you know it you've been infected.

Don't fall for it. If something starts installing, stop it right away. You shouldn't need to install or upgrade Adobe Flash Player to see YouTube videos. If you think you want to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player anyway, go directly to the Adobe Flash Player download page and download it there instead.
